
UPM SERDANG, January 17, 2025 – The Faculty of Modern Languages and Communication (FBMK), Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) welcomed a study visit from a group of students from China, organised by Gentle Partner. The visit aimed to provide deeper insight into the academic programmes offered by FBMK and give an overview of campus life at UPM.
The visit began with an academic briefing by Chin Mooi San, where the students were provided with detailed information about the undergraduate and postgraduate programmes available at FBMK. During this session, students had the opportunity to ask questions in a Q&A session to gain further information about the curriculum, faculty activities, and career opportunities available. This session offered valuable exposure to the advantages of studying at UPM.
After the briefing, the students were taken on a tour of the Malay Heritage Museum, FBMK, where they learned more about the history, culture, and national identity of Malaysia. This experience helped the students understand the rich cultural context in Malaysia and its connection to education at the university.
The tour continued with a bus tour around the UPM campus, including a visit to Farm Fresh and viewing several key landmarks of the university, such as the Main Hall of the Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah Cultural and Arts Centre. The students were also introduced to other faculties at UPM, such as the Faculty of Science and Technology and the Faculty of Engineering, providing them with a broader understanding of academic life at UPM.
This study visit aimed to introduce the students to the campus environment, learning facilities, and academic opportunities available at UPM. It not only helped the students gain a deeper understanding of the programmes at FBMK but also provided them with a clearer picture of the values and culture of the university. Through this visit, the students were able to gain valuable insights to help them plan their academic future at FBMK, UPM.
