SERDANG, 7 August 2026 – The Faculty of Modern Languages and Communication (FBMK), Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), continues to strengthen its culture of innovation and organisational excellence through its participation in the Service Innovation Awards Competition held in conjunction with the UPM Quality and Service Innovation Day (HKIP) 2025–2026.

The participation involved five innovation projects developed by FBMK staff and presented across three categories, namely the Management Category, Technical Category and Ideas Category.

In the Management Category, FBMK was represented by the AIN Innovation Project, while the AGRO-CASE Innovation Project and TRADI-KIT Innovation Project participated in the Technical Category. Meanwhile, the Ideas Category featured two projects, namely ASET-GO and MATA.

The participation of these five projects reflects the commitment of FBMK staff to identifying current needs and developing creative, practical solutions with the potential to add value to service delivery. Each project showcases its own ideas and innovative approaches aimed at enhancing the efficiency, effectiveness and quality of services.

The competition also served as a platform for FBMK staff to showcase their innovative initiatives, share ideas and best practices, and gain greater exposure to the university’s innovation ecosystem. This effort is in line with UPM’s aspiration to strengthen a culture of quality, creativity and continuous improvement among members of the university community.

The active participation of FBMK staff demonstrates that innovation is not merely a means of introducing something new, but also represents an ongoing effort to improve work processes and service delivery for stakeholders.

FBMK extends its highest appreciation and congratulations to all teams and individuals who represented the faculty in the competition for their commitment, creativity and dedication.

May this participation serve as a catalyst for the development of more high-impact innovations and further strengthen the culture of creativity, innovation and excellence among the FBMK community towards enhancing organisational performance and the quality of service delivery in the future.
