
UPM SERDANG, MARCH 17, 2025 – Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) and ELS Language Centres have signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) to strengthen collaboration in English language education, particularly for the bridging program at Shandong Women’s University (SDWU), China.
The MOA signing ceremony, held on March 14, 2025, at the Executive Room, Canselori Putra Building, UPM, was officiated by YBhg. Dato' Ahmad Farhan Mohd Sadullah, Vice-Chancellor of UPM, and Mr. Sean Chee, Managing Director of ELS Language Centres. Also in attendance were YBhg. Datuk Mohamed Arsad Sehan, Director of ELS Language Centres, along with senior management members from the Faculty of Modern Languages and Communication (FBMK), UPM.
Through this partnership, ELS Language Centres will provide English language instructors for the bridging program at SDWU, as well as training programs to enhance the skills of educators. ELS Language Centres, operated by ELSI Sdn. Bhd., is renowned for offering high-quality English language programs to students seeking higher education opportunities and improved English proficiency.
Following the MOA signing, YBhg. Prof. Dr. Ismi Arif Ismail, UPM’s Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic and International), took the opportunity to engage with the guests.
This strategic collaboration is expected to benefit students by strengthening their English proficiency and opening more academic and professional opportunities at the international level.
