The programme, which ran from 9.00 a.m. to 3.00 p.m., received an encouraging response from the entire FBMK, UPM community. In addition to donating blood, participants were also provided with information on the procedures to follow before donating blood and the benefits of being a regular donor.
Associate Professor Dr. Adi Yasran Abdul Aziz, Deputy Dean (Academic and Student Affairs), was present as the guest of honour to officiate the appreciation ceremony for the parties involved, including the PDN staff, for their contribution to the success of the programme. The blood donation drive was further enlivened with a photo session featuring donors and the organising committee as a memento.
SEDAR 2.0 reflects the high level of concern among the FBMK, UPM community regarding the need for blood supplies in hospitals and treatment centres across the country. This effort plays a crucial role in saving the lives of those in need.
“A drop of donated blood brings a million hopes to others,” said one of the participants. It is hoped that this programme will continue in the future to provide even greater benefits to society.
