
UPM SERDANG – The Mahrajan 2.0 National Camp 2024 was officially launched by Associate Professor Dr. Akmar Hayati Ahmad Ghazali, Deputy Dean (Research, Industry Networking, and Community) at the Za'ba Auditorium, Faculty of Modern Languages and Communication (FBMK), UPM.
Also present were Tuan Haji Haris Dahlan, Director of the Wakaf, Zakat, and Endowment Management Center (WAZAN), UPM, along with faculty management, accompanying teachers, and over 200 Form 6 students from Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Agama across Malaysia.
Associate Professor Dr. Abdul Rauf Hassan, Chairman of Kem Mahrajan 2.0, warmly welcomed the guests and Form 6 students from 7 Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Agama schools. This program aims to provide opportunities for lecturers to share their expertise with Form 6 students, especially from the southern region of Peninsular Malaysia.
The Kem Mahrajan 2.0 program is organized by the Department of Foreign Languages, FBMK UPM, in collaboration with the UPM Islamic Center, WAZAN UPM, and the Selangor Islamic Religious Council (MAIS). The program focuses on the dissemination of knowledge and enhancing students’ understanding of various fields, including language, religion, and culture, while encouraging active participation in academic activities.
It is hoped that this program will strengthen academic relationships between higher education institutions and secondary school students in Malaysia, while opening doors to broader educational opportunities.
