Seri Kembangan, 22 April 2026 – An awareness program titled “Scammers Are Becoming More Sophisticated: Are You the Next Victim?” was successfully held today at Auditorium Za’ba, with encouraging participation from the public.
The program was delivered by Tuan Rahmat Fitri, a former Senior Officer of the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) and Anti-Scam Ambassador, who shared important insights on increasingly widespread and sophisticated scam-related crimes.
According to him, scammers are now using more advanced and complex tactics that are difficult to detect, including the use of modern technology and emotional manipulation to deceive victims. In this regard, the public is advised to remain cautious and not be easily influenced by suspicious offers or calls.
Throughout the session, participants gained valuable new information, including techniques to identify scammers’ modus operandi, effective preventive measures, and the appropriate actions to take if targeted by scams.
Participants also expressed that the program had been eye-opening, raising awareness about the seriousness of scam threats while equipping them with knowledge to better protect themselves and their families from becoming the next victims.
It is hoped that similar initiatives will continue in the future to ensure that the community remains well-informed and prepared to مواجهة the growing threat of scam-related crimes.
