UPM SERDANG, MARCH 24, 2025 – The Faculty of Modern Languages and Communication (FBMK), Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), continued its annual tradition by organizing the Ramadan Putra Cakna 3.0 Program, now in its third year. This initiative, which was held on March 20, 2025, aimed to foster a sense of togetherness and share the blessings of Ramadan with orphans.
Starting at 5 PM, the program welcomed children from Rumah Bakti Al Kausar Bangi and the Pertubuhan Kebajikan Anak-Anak Yatim Ummi & Waled (PEKAYUW). They were warmly welcomed by the FBMK community, creating an atmosphere filled with joy and kindness.
The event began with an Exchange Knowledge session conducted by Dr. Muhammad Faizul Abdul Hamid from the Department of Malay Language, FBMK. This engaging session received enthusiastic participation from the children, who enjoyed the interactive activities designed for them.
Following the knowledge-sharing session, the program continued with a series of spiritual activities. The participants performed Maghrib prayers in congregation, followed by iftar (breaking fast) together, fostering a sense of unity and gratitude. After the meal, they proceeded with Isyak and Tarawih prayers in congregation, reinforcing the spiritual essence of Ramadan.
The evening was made even more special with the distribution of "duit raya" (festive allowances) to the orphans and children of FBMK staff who participated in the event. Additionally, representatives from both orphanages received essential Hari Raya aid packages, symbolizing FBMK’s continuous support and care.
This program not only brought happiness to the orphans but also strengthened the values of compassion and unity within the UPM community. It is hoped that such initiatives will continue in the future, spreading kindness and support to those in need.
