UPM SERDANG, MAY 19, 2025 - On 14 May 2025, a total of 13 international students participating in the Putra Experience programme for the 2024/2025 session went on a visit to Melaka, the Historic City.
The main destinations of this visit included the Melaka History Museum and the Maritime Museum (Flor de La Mar), both of which are significant symbols in portraying the glorious history of the Malay Peninsula and the cultural development of Malaysia. At the Melaka History Museum, the students had the opportunity to explore the historical journey of Melaka as a renowned international trading centre in the 15th century. Meanwhile, the visit to the Maritime Museum (Flor de La Mar) provided them with insights into maritime life and the administration and trade practices in Melaka.
This visit was not only aimed at strengthening international relations but also offered students the chance to gain a deeper understanding of the origins of Malaysia's culture, traditions, and history.
The activity served as an interactive and meaningful learning experience, allowing students to appreciate the richness of the nation's heritage, which forms the core of Malaysia's identity.
