Official Visit to Kuala Lumpur Tower (Transmission Station) FBMK, UPM

KUALA LUMPUR, SEPTEMBER 30, 2025 - The Faculty of Modern Languages and Communication (FBMK), Universiti Putra Malaysia, organized an Official Visit to the Kuala Lumpur Tower (Transmission Station) for academic and engineering purposes, involving the participation of both students and faculty staff on 29 September 2025.

The FBMK delegation was welcomed by Ts. Ahmad Shaiful Redha Bin Razak, Assistant Director of the Kajang Network Technical Section, as the head of the visit, together with his officers:

The visit aimed to enhance participants’ understanding of the broadcasting communication industry’s requirements in education, particularly in academic, technical, safety, and current industry aspects.

The main objectives of this visit were to:

Provide direct exposure to the academic and technical skills required in the field of broadcasting communication.

Identify the needs for the latest broadcasting transmission equipment and systems as references for curriculum development and the implementation of student industrial training.

Assess and learn about the occupational safety and health management practices implemented by RTM at the Kuala Lumpur Tower, which may serve as benchmarks for safety practices at FBMK.

According to FBMK representatives, this visit is part of the faculty’s efforts to strengthen academic-industry relations, while enriching students’ learning experiences in the field of broadcasting communication.

Through this direct exposure, students are expected to gain a more comprehensive understanding of industry realities, while also improving their skills and awareness of the importance of safety, technology, and innovation in the broadcasting world.
