UPM SERDANG, 17 JULY 2025 – The Menu Putra: Suara Merdeka @ FBMK segment, held in conjunction with the Semarak Merdeka Programme organised by the Faculty of Modern Languages and Communication (FBMK), Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), was successfully broadcast live on PutraFM 90.7 on 16 July 2025 at 11:00 a.m.

The segment featured three invited guests from the Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah Cultural and Arts Centre (PKKSSAAS), UPM: Mr Husalshah Rizal Hussian, Director of PKKSSAAS, Mr Mohd Khairul Zainal Abidin, and Mr Amirul Iskandar Abdul Razak.

They appeared in person at the PutraFM studio to share their insights and aspirations regarding the uniqueness and innovations of this year’s Semarak Merdeka compared to previous editions. Among the key highlights discussed were the fresh and dynamic approach adopted this year, which emphasises the active and inclusive participation of UPM staff, particularly from various Responsibility Centres (PTJ).

The segment also outlined the participation requirements for the competitions organised by FBMK, along with the categories of prizes and forms of recognition that will be awarded to the most outstanding PTJs.

The Semarak Merdeka Programme is an annual initiative by PKKSSAAS that aims to instil patriotic spirit among the UPM community through the integration of language, arts, and communication. Aligned with the aspirations of Malaysia MADANI, UPM remains committed to nurturing a university community that is knowledgeable, cultured, and dedicated to serving the nation.
