Serdang, 28 April 2026 — The Faculty of Modern Languages and Communication (FBMK), Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), welcomed a delegation of students and accompanying lecturers from Universitas Indraprasta PGRI (UNINDRA) for the Academic Mobility Programme: Synergy of Language Knowledge, held at Wisata Minda on 28 April 2026.
The programme commenced at 9.00 a.m. with the arrival of the delegation, followed by welcoming remarks by the faculty representatives and a response speech by the UNINDRA delegation representative. The ceremony continued with a token exchange session as a symbolic gesture of appreciation and the strengthening of ties between both institutions.
Participants were then presented with corporate videos of Universiti Putra Malaysia and FBMK, showcasing the faculty’s achievements and the academic programmes offered. This session aimed to provide the visiting delegation with a comprehensive overview of the faculty’s excellence and strategic direction.
Subsequently, an interactive question-and-answer session was held to facilitate knowledge sharing and the exchange of perspectives between students and lecturers from both institutions. The programme was further enlivened with a photography session before participants proceeded to the museum for an educational visit.
The visit to the museum and the traditional Malay house offered participants a deeper learning experience on cultural and linguistic heritage. Participants were divided into two groups to ensure the smooth execution of activities, while a dictionary exhibition was also organised as an alternative programme segment.
The programme concluded at 12.00 noon with the distribution of packed meals before the delegation departed. Overall, the programme successfully achieved its objectives in strengthening international academic networks and fostering collaborative spirit in the fields of language and communication.
