UPM SERDANG – The Department of English, Faculty of Modern Languages and Communication, organised a discussion session, the Industrial Training Partnership Program, held at the Seri Amar Room on 9th December 2024. This session aimed to discuss the career placement direction for final-year Bachelor’s students who will undergo industrial training.

The discussion also provided an opportunity for the faculty to collaborate with various related industries, including Malaysia Airlines Group (MAG), Intermark Resources, Woodpeckers Group, Bayo Credix, FIXI, Marrybrown, Chef Wan Restaurants, Paris Baguette, Plaza Premium, and Coolblog. The presence of industry representatives and professional panelists enriched the discussion and expanded networking opportunities.

Associate Professor Dr. Arbaayah Ali Termizi and Associate Professor Chua Kok Yee chaired the session. Associate Professor Dr. Zalina Mohd Kasim (Deputy Dean for Graduate and International Affairs), Dr. Florence Toh Haw Ching, Dr. Lee Geok Imm, Dr. Hasyimah Mohd Amin, Dr. Fatin Nabila Abd Razak, and Mr. Rohimmi Noor also attended the session.

It is hoped that this initiative will strengthen the faculty’s relationship with the industry and benefit students in their preparation for entering the workforce.
