SERDANG, 12 April – The Malay Language Communication Test (UKOM) 2026 for the 2025/2026 session was successfully conducted, involving students from semester 3 and above at Universiti Putra Malaysia.
The implementation of UKOM 2026 covered two main locations, namely UPM Sarawak Campus and UPM Serdang. Registration for candidates at UPM Sarawak was held from 26 January to 1 February 2026, while registration at UPM Serdang took place from 2 to 8 February 2026. The test was subsequently conducted on 11 to 12 April 2026 at UPM Serdang.
This programme aimed to assess students’ overall communication proficiency in the Malay language, in line with the development of soft skills and graduate employability. In addition, UKOM serves as an important platform to strengthen the mastery of the national language among university students.
Throughout the implementation, the test was conducted smoothly with strong cooperation between the organising committee and participants. Students also demonstrated a high level of commitment by ensuring their attendance and active participation during the sessions.
Overall, UKOM 2026 successfully achieved its objectives in enhancing Malay language communication skills among students, while supporting the university’s aspiration to produce competent and competitive graduates.
