
UPM SERDANG, JUNE 9, 2025 – The Faculty of Modern Languages and Communication, Universiti Putra Malaysia, successfully organised the Intellectual Property Workshop on 3 June 2025 (Tuesday) at L'apprenti, UPM. The workshop provided participants with valuable insights and understanding of key aspects related to the management and protection of intellectual property.
The workshop was conducted by Associate Professor Ts. Dr. Saiful Hasley Ramli, Deputy Director (Promotion and Intellectual Property Management), Putra Science Park, UPM. He shared his expertise and experience on crucial elements in managing and safeguarding intellectual property in the context of developing teaching modules, innovations, research outputs, and the faculty’s intellectual heritage.
The workshop primarily focused on the development of teaching modules, innovations, research findings, and the intellectual legacy of the faculty. Participants were also given the opportunity to engage in a hands-on session on intellectual property registration using their own laptops, guided directly by the speaker.
This workshop reflects FBMK’s commitment to enhancing the knowledge and awareness of its community on the importance of protecting intellectual property within the academic and research landscape.
