
UPM SERDANG – The Faculty of Modern Languages and Communication, UPM, organised a discussion session with SMBC SSC Sdn. Bhd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation (SMBC), held in the ISO Room, FBMK.
The session was attended by the Dean of the Faculty, Associate Professor Dr. Hazlina Abdul Halim, along with other management members, as well as a delegation from SMBC SSC Sdn. Bhd. led by Daryl Ng. The discussion aimed to explore strategic collaboration opportunities that would benefit both parties, particularly in the fields of language, culture, and communication.
As part of the session, the SMBC SSC Sdn. Bhd. delegation was given the opportunity to delve into Malay cultural heritage through an exclusive tour of the Traditional Malay House grounds within the FBMK campus. This activity was designed to introduce and strengthen the understanding of local cultural elements, in line with the spirit of international cooperation.
This initiative marks the first step toward a stronger strategic relationship between UPM and SMBC SSC Sdn. Bhd., with the hope of fostering collaborations that benefit the fields of education, culture, and corporate endeavors.
