Let's face it, happiness and work don't usually go hand in hand. A 2013 Gallup study, which reported data from over 180 million people, found that only 13% of us consider ourselves "happy to be engaged at work".
Those who rated themselves as happy were 36% more motivated, six times more energetic, and twice as productive as their unhappy counterparts. The good news is that only 50% of happiness is genetics - the rest is up to you.
