SERDANG, JULY 13: The Selangor Long Roof House to be built at Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) will become a reference centre for Malay heritage through its function as a corpus of knowledge for research in the fields of architecture, history and anthropology.
Culture EXCO Datuk Borhan Aman Shah said the construction of the house was carried out to realise the wishes of His Majesty the Sultan of Selangor, Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah Alhaj, to complete the Selangor State House collection.
He said the Selangor State Corporation Berhad (PNSB) also channelled a contribution of RM250,000 through its corporate social responsibility (CSR) programme to realise the construction of the project.
