Serdang, 22 May 2023 – Major General Datuk Marzuki Hj. Moktar, the Chief of Army Training, made his first official visit to the Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) Reserve Officer Training Team today.

In addition, Datuk Marzuki also visited UPM's Faculty of Modern Languages and Communication (FBMK) where he visited Putra FM, UPM's radio station and FBMK's Malay Heritage Museum. This visit aims to further strengthen the relationship between the military and UPM as well as provide knowledge and inspiration to students at this university.

He was warmly welcomed by FBMK management members led by FBMK Dean, Prof. Associate Dr. Hazlina Abd. Halim. In his short speech, Datuk Marzuki emphasized the strong commitment of the military in providing support and guidance to the UPM student reserve team, as well as expressed his pride and respect for the Malay cultural heritage exhibited at the Malay Heritage Museum.

This visit shows the continuous efforts of the military and UPM in instilling the spirit of patriotism and appreciating our cultural heritage. This also shows high appreciation for this institution of higher education in producing a young generation who are knowledgeable, insightful and virtuous.
