  In 2013, a new series in Pertanika was established, namely MAHAWANGSA (Journal of Malay Language, Culture and Heritage). This journal series focuses more on the fields of Malay Language, Culture and Heritage. Pertanika MAHAWANGSA is published in the Malay Language, twice a year, in June and November, and is open to authors from around the world.
