SERDANG: Deputy Prime Minister Dato’ Seri Dr. Ahmad Zahid Hamidi has criticized several government leaders whom he observed to have lost their command of social media after being appointed as ministers and deputy ministers.
Zahid said his experience has taught him that mastering the narrative before coming into power does not necessarily guarantee success in managing the narrative while in government.
"For example, there are several figures in the current administration who, when they were in the opposition, were exceptionally agile in navigating social media. But once they became part of the government and were appointed as ministers or deputy ministers, all that prowess seemed to vanish," he remarked during the FBMK Pearl Radiance Gala and the 30th Anniversary Celebration of the Faculty of Modern Languages and Communication, Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM)," he said.
