If the question "why is someone angry?" is too cliché to ask.
Generally, anger occurs when we are threatened, mistreated, treated unfairly, deceived, humiliated, frustrated because we cannot do something, and so on.
Anger, if viewed positively, can be a channel to express feelings, and (possibly) can motivate or instill the courage to make changes. If it is triggered by serious and justified reasons, for example being oppressed, anger can also help prevent bad things from happening to us.
