About Global Media Journal-Malaysian Edition (GMJ-ME)

Global Media Journal (GMJ) is the official publication of the Global Network of Communication Scholars. Global Media Journal is hosted by the Center for Global Studies at Purdue University Calumet, Hammond, Indiana, USA. The Global Media Journal-Malaysian Edition (GMJ-ME) is sponsored by University of Putra, Malaysia. The content of GMJ-ME is edited by Professor Dr. Md. Salleh Hasan and Associate Professor Dr. Zulhamri Abdullah from Universiti Putra Malaysia, Malaysia.

Scope of Journal

The GMJ-ME publishes scholarship with a focus on strategic communication and media studies. The journal caters for social scientists, professors, researchers, post-docs, scholars, practitioners and graduate students who wish to promote and communicate advances in the specialized fields of journalism, advertising, broadcasting, Information, Communication and Technology (ICT), organizational communication, public relations, corporate communication, and development communication.

The journal is published in English and it is open to authors around the world. The GMJ-ME accepts manuscripts for consideration throughout the year and publishes in both Spring (March-May) and Fall (Sept-Nov).

Paper Submission Instructions

Articles should be double-spaced 12 point type (Arial or Times New Roman fonts preferred). The first page should only contain the running title of the article.

The second page should include the full title of the article and the names and contact information of all authors It should clearly state the corresponding author. The names of the authors must be abbreviated following the international naming convention.

e.g. Abdullah, Z., Tan, L.C., or Salleh, M.H.

The third page should repeat the full title of the article and contain the abstract and keywords but no author information. Page four onwards should contain the introduction and the rest of the article.
