UPM SERDANG – A group of 23 students along with 2 accompanying teachers from Linyi University, Shandong, China, selected the Faculty of Modern Languages and Communication (FBMK) at Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) as their academic and cultural visit destination.

The visit began with an academic briefing delivered by Associate Professor Dr. Ang Lay Hoon at the Za'ba Auditorium, FBMK. During the session, the students were introduced to various academic programs offered by the faculty, providing them with insights into the learning and research opportunities at UPM.

Led by Ms. Kim Ong Suet from Gentle Partner Sdn. Bhd., the visitors were also taken to tour the Malay Heritage Museum and PutraFM. This visit gave them a unique experience inside the PutraFM radio studio and an exploration of Malay cultural heritage at the Malay Heritage Museum, FBMK. Additionally, the visitors had the opportunity to enjoy traditional Malay cuisine at FBMK’s Warung Selera Kampung, offering them a taste of local culinary delights.

Dr. Chin Mooi San guided the visitors around the UPM campus, assisted by two FALCOMM members, Chan Ea Shen and Ser Pei Jun, as well as an FBMK intern, who served as tour guides.

The Faculty of Modern Languages and Communication extends its gratitude to Linyi University, Shandong, China, for choosing FBMK as one of their academic visit destinations at UPM. This visit is hoped to strengthen inter-institutional relationships and provide the students with in-depth exposure to Malaysian culture and education.
