
KUALA LUMPUR - A total of 63 students from the BBM3209 course, Introduction to Translation, Faculty of Modern Languages and Communication, Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), conducted a study visit to the Malaysian Parliament on 17 December 2024.
The visit was led by Prof. Dr. Vijayaletchumy Subramaniam, a lecturer from the Faculty of Modern Languages and Communication, UPM, along with students pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Malay Language and Linguistics with Honours at FBMK, UPM.
The visit began with a briefing delivered by YB Senator Datuk Seri Prof. Emeritus Dr. Awang Sariyan, Member of the Senate, and Puan Mazidah Mohamed from the Interpreters and Translators Section, House of Representatives Management Division.
The delegation also had the opportunity to observe a Senate session before proceeding to the Malaysian Parliament Library. The library tour was guided by Puan Emilda, with assistance from Cik Nafis and Encik Zhafry Hakim.
