JANUARY 8, 2025, SHANDONG, CHINA – On 23 December 2024, Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), through the Faculty of Modern Languages and Communication (FBMK), conducted an official visit and discussions with Shandong Women’s University (Changqing Campus) in Jinan, Shandong Province, China. This visit marked a significant step in finalising a strategic collaboration between the two institutions, including the proposed establishment of an FBMK satellite office at the Changqing Campus.
Shandong Women’s University, with its distinguished campuses – Shizhong and Changqing – provides an ideal environment for the implementation of UPM's international programmes. The Changqing Campus is now proposed as an operational hub to strengthen academic programme coordination and facilitate relations between UPM and its strategic partners in China.
This collaboration is expected to have a significant impact on the development of bridging programmes, as well as enhancing UPM's global presence, particularly in Shandong Province. This step aligns with UPM's aspirations to increase its visibility and reputation as a world-class university.
The visit symbolises UPM's commitment to building strong strategic relationships for the benefit of students and the academic community as a whole.
