
UPM SERDANG, January 15, 2025 – The Faculty of Modern Languages and Communication (FBMK), Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), welcomed a visit from the Centre for Entrepreneurial Development and Graduate Employability (CEM) for a roadshow session held on 9 January 2025 at Wisata Minda, Block C, FBMK. The session, which began at 3:00 pm, aimed to discuss the faculty's direction and CEM’s role in enhancing entrepreneurship and the employability of UPM graduates.
The discussion, involving FBMK management members and representatives from CEM, focused on various initiatives to further strengthen the employability of UPM graduates. Key issues addressed included equipping graduates with skills aligned with current industry demands and increasing entrepreneurial opportunities for students and alumni. Additionally, the session emphasised ways to introduce training and mentoring programmes to help students enhance their competitiveness in the job market.
With close collaboration between the faculty and CEM, it is hoped that UPM graduates will be better prepared and more competitive in the workforce while also opening up greater opportunities in entrepreneurship. This roadshow session represents a positive step towards creating a more dynamic educational ecosystem, where the faculty, graduate development centres, and industry partners can work hand in hand to ensure the success and career advancement of UPM graduates.
