SERDANG, 3 March 2026 – The Putra Cakna 4.0: Blessed Ramadan, Compassionate Humanity programme organised by the Faculty of Modern Languages and Communication (FBMK), Universiti Putra Malaysia, continued with meaningful activities through the inauguration of Musolla Hamzah Fansuri as well as an orphans’ appreciation ceremony, held in a spiritually enriching atmosphere in conjunction with the holy month of Ramadan.
Musolla Hamzah Fansuri, a newly completed prayer facility at the faculty, was officially inaugurated by the Vice-Chancellor of Universiti Putra Malaysia, Ahmad Farhan Mohd Sadullah. The musolla is expected to provide greater convenience for faculty members and the wider university community to perform their prayers, while also serving as a space that nurtures the development of knowledge grounded in faith and spiritual values.
The evening’s programme continued with an iftar (breaking of fast) gathering with orphans, followed by the presentation of contributions as a gesture of care and compassion from the university community towards those in need.
The programme was further enriched with spiritual elements including a Ramadan tazkirah (religious reminder), followed by Eclipse prayers, the Eclipse sermon, and congregational Tarawih prayers. Adding to the significance of the occasion, the Tarawih prayer was led by the Vice-Chancellor of UPM together with members of the university community in attendance.
The organisation of this programme not only enlivened the Ramadan celebration among the university community, but also strengthened the values of togetherness, social responsibility and the spirit of volunteerism within the community.
The organisers would like to express their deepest appreciation to all parties who were directly and indirectly involved in making Putra Cakna 4.0 a success. It is hoped that every act of kindness carried out through this programme will bring lasting blessings and continue to nurture the spirit of “Blessed Ramadan, Compassionate Humanity.”
