UPM SERDANG, 23 SEPTEMBER 2025 – The Faculty of Modern Languages and Communication (FBMK), Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), received a visit from a delegation from Shandong Women's University, China on 22nd of September 2025, in an effort to strengthen bilateral cooperation in academic and cultural fields.

The delegation was welcomed by UPM’s Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic and International), Prof. Ir. Dr. Abd. Rahim bin Abu Talib, along with the FBMK management team. The program included a tour of FBMK facilities and a visit to the Malay Heritage Museum, which highlights the history and unique legacy of Malay culture to international visitors.

The visit aimed to open new opportunities for strategic collaboration, including joint research, student exchange programs, academic initiatives, and the strengthening of cultural ties between the two universities.

According to Prof. Ir. Dr. Abd. Rahim bin Abu Talib, such visits not only foster international relationships but also serve as an important platform for UPM to produce globally competitive graduates and to further elevate the university’s image on the international stage.

This visit marks another proactive step by UPM in supporting the university’s aspiration to remain a leader in higher education and global collaboration.
