FBMK Organize Syawal Prihatin Contribution Program for the Third Year, Easing the Burden of UPM Community

UPM SERDANG, MARCH 24, 2025 – The Faculty of Modern Languages and Communication (FBMK), Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), continues to uphold the values of compassion and solidarity by organizing the Syawal Prihatin Contribution Program for the third consecutive year. The program, which was held on March 19, 2025, aims to support those in need within the UPM community as they prepare for the Aidilfitri celebration, reflecting the university’s commitment to fostering a caring and inclusive environment.

A total of 56 aid recipients, comprising asnaf, single parents, and low-income households from the UPM community, received essential supplies such as rice, cooking oil, sugar, and flour. These contributions serve as a means to alleviate their financial burden, ensuring that they can celebrate Aidilfitri with ease and joy. This initiative also underscores FBMK’s commitment to upholding the welfare of its community, particularly those facing financial challenges.

The handover ceremony was officiated by UPM Registrar, Mr. Muhazam Mansor, accompanied by FBMK Dean, Associate Professor Dr. Hazlina Abdul Halim, and Faculty Chief Administrator, Ms. Saliza Mustafa.

The Syawal Prihatin Contribution Program is expected to continue in the coming years as part of the faculty’s welfare initiatives. It is hoped that more parties will come forward to support this noble effort in spreading kindness and assisting those in need within the UPM community.
