UPM SERDANG, JUNE 4, 2024 – The 13th Children's and Youth Literature Seminar was successfully held on May 28, 2024, at Dewan Bahasa dan Pustaka, Kuala Lumpur. This program was organised by the Department of Malay Language, Faculty of Modern Languages and Communication, UPM, in collaboration with Dewan Bahasa dan Pustaka, the Children's and Youth Literature Community Network, and the Kuala Lumpur Writers' Association. The opening ceremony was officiated by the Director-General of Dewan Bahasa dan Pustaka, YBrs. Dr. Hazami Jahari.

During this seminar, there were two competition categories: Best Poster Competition and Best Paper Presentation Competition. A total of 14 groups won in the Best Poster category, while 10 groups won in the Best Paper Presentation category. The event was also enlivened with a syair (poetry) performance by Mrs. Bazilah Abdul Salam from the Prince of Songkhla University.

Thanks and congratulations are extended to the committee members from the Faculty of Modern Languages and Communication and Dewan Bahasa dan Pustaka, who worked hard to make this program a success. Appreciation is also given to the students of BBK3214: Children's and Youth Literature Semester 2, Session 2023/2024, for their high commitment to ensuring the success of this program. Hopefully, this good cooperation will continue in organising high-impact programs in the future.
