The Faculty of Modern Languages and Communication at UPM offers mobility programmes to fulfill the needs of international students who wish to complete one semester or one year of their studies in Malaysia. The program also offers the same opportunity to local students who wish to experience studying abroad. Up until July 2013, the Faculty of Modern Languages and Communication has signed 5 Memorandum of Understanding (MoUs) with Institut National des Langues et Civilisations Orientales INALCO (France), University of Mannheim (Germany), Nakhon Si Thammarat Rajabhat University (Thailand), Gyeongju University (Korea) dan Hunan University (China) to develop the student mobility programme.
By getting involved in such mobility programmes, students will be able to gain new knowledge and friends and develop a richer appreciation of new cultures. The student mobility programme encourages student exchange between two institutions for one or two semesters and the students are usually allowed to apply for credit transfer. The exchange programme will provide students with a richer academic experience.
