The Student Excellence Awards and PhD Hooding Ceremony in conjunction with the 47th Convocation of UPM took place on November 23, 2023, at Dewan Za'ba, Faculty of Modern Languages and Communication, UPM. YB Datuk Dr. Hj. Mohd Arifin Datuk Hj. Mohd Arif, Minister of Science, Technology, and Innovation of Sabah and also one of the sponsors, graced the event. The ceremony was also attended by YBhg. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hazlina Abdul Halim, Dean of the Faculty of Modern Languages and Communication, UPM, sponsors, faculty management, lecturers, and parents. A total of 11 students received the Best Student Awards for Bachelor's and Postgraduate Categories, while 27 PhD graduates were honored during the PhD Hooding Ceremony.
